April 2012 Newsletter – The Saga of Unusual Weather, Unforeseen Sport Phenomenon’s, Tricky Candle Wax & Perfectly Poached Eggs!!

Hello Friends!

How are you doing? I am in great shape, fully charged and revitalized to face the 30 days of April.

On my part, I have a great reason to be so perky. I’ve just got back from my European holiday and it turned out to be the much needed break I needed (even deserved) from work.

I had an amazing time and am looking to get back to business with renewed energy. Europe was fantastic but I have to admit being back in Chicago really feels like home.

Speaking of Chicago, I can’t get over the weather in the city. Reliable sources tell me the last few weeks were nothing like the regular March I was expecting it to be – cold and dreary. In fact, it’s quite pleasant for this time of the year – the perfect weather for cleaning out your backyard, setting up the grills, and organizing a barbeque.

I am not the only one with this idea. On my last trip to Costco, the store was bursting at its seams with people buying patio furniture and grilling equipment.

After having my toes trampled on half a dozen times, I decided the wisest thing to do was retreat quietly and come back at a time when things weren’t quite so chaotic!

Which reminds me – all hell broke loose on the basketball courts the other day, what with Mizzou losing to unpopular Norfolk in the NCAA! For those of you who missed out on this one, Missouri, one of the pre-tournament favorites, had their hands full right from the starting whistle.

The final score-line – 86-84 – was the stuff of nightmares for them. Great for Norfolk fans, but it’s really mind-boggling – the surprises life throws at you!

Anyway, I guess these things do happen. The sports world is so unpredictable. Thankfully, you don’t have to deal with such uncertainties in my newsletter. I promised you a Coupon of the Month and a Coupon of the Month is what you get – every month with every issue.

Coupon of the Month

Coupon of the Month - April 2012

This month, when you book the cleaning of one mattress and get the second 50% OFF! Anyway you look at it, this is a great offer!

You get two clean mattresses, a hygienic bedroom environment, undisturbed beauty sleep, freedom from dust mites, and great savings! I don’t see how you could afford to let go off such a fantastic deal! My advice it, grab it immediately.

Regular mattress cleanings are essential not just because it is a good housekeeping practice.

It’s essential because you’d want the place you retire to at the end of the day to be a clean and healthy one, free of allergens and dust mites that are responsible for a host of problems like asthma, eczema, persistent sneezing, and red, itchy, and watery eyes.

If these symptoms sound familiar, it is indicative of the fact that you’ve already been exposed to dust mites and other allergens.

To keep yourself and your family safe, consider having professional mattress cleaning done every 6-9 months. In addition, implement the following cleaning measures regularly:

    • Flip your mattress over every six months or so – not just the top side to the bottom, but also the head side to the foot side. This ensures even wear of your mattress.
    • Protect your mattress with a cover. Choose one that is washable in nature and easy to remove and replace. In fact, there are covers that are specifically designed to reduce the occurrence of dust mite allergies. If you can afford to, buy them.
    • Vacuum regularly to remove buildup of dust, dirt, dander, pollen, and dust mites.

And of course, don’t forget to use this month’s Discount Coupon to save some money on my professional mattress cleaning services. The offer is valid only for a limited time.

Tip of the Month

This month we are going to look at HOW TO REMOVE CANDLE WAX FROM CARPET.

Candles can be oh so romantic but getting the wax out of your carpet is guaranteed to throw cold water on your best laid plans. I came across great video I saw on YouTube and I felt I just had to share it with you. This gentleman has done a good job of cleaning out all the wax from the carpet.

Before I move on I’d like to share a thought with you – why are all my tips related to carpet cleaning or home cleaning? Surely there’s more to life than that. Like, for instance – FOOD!

Poached EggsI am what they call a multi-faceted personality. One of the things I am really interesting in doing is cooking. In my free time I enjoy looking up recipes and cooking videos. My favorite is the ones where they take a really simple dish and use an interesting twist to make it absolutely awesome!

This is one such video where Janine Falvo, executive chef of Briza in Atlanta, Georgia and former chef of California’s Carneros Bistro & Wine Bar releases the poached egg from its humble state and turns it into a lip-smacking gourmet dish. I tried it and I loved it! I am sure if you try it, you are going to love it too.

Here’s how you make the ultimate poached eggs:

Now that our bellies are full, I have a great video for you to watch!

You are not the only one who enjoys a clean rug.
