March 2012 Newsletter – Here’s to Mild Winters, Amazing Food, and Winter Cleaning Specials!

Hello, my dear friend. Welcome to March 2012 newsletter! I don’t know about you but I am starting to enjoy our monthly tete`-a-tete´ and sincerely hope you look forward to it as well.

Jumping straight into the NFL, who were you rooting for at this years Superbowl? With the Bears knocked off in the Playoffs, the game wasn’t nearly all that exciting. It was a great year to be Giant’s fan!

The weather last month was amazingly mild. There was no repeat of last years record-breaking snowstorm that shook the entire city of Chicago. I couldn’t believe the footage that was ran on WGN just the other morning highlighting the havoc the blizzard wreaked on Chicago.

By the way, I have to tell you about this really amazing restaurant I ate at the other day – Tango Sur on Southport Avenue.

Tango Sur is an Argentinean restaurant has melt-in-your-mouth Argentinean cuisine and carries a BYOB policy for those that are looking to spend less during your dining experience.

The portions were gigantic! You can easily share the entrees between two diners. It was all I could do to finish what I had on my plate, and I have a voracious appetite! All in all, a fantastic experience. I cannot wait to go back again!

So far, business has been good this year. We’ve recently paired up with Yelp in an effort to offer our customers another way to save money on cleaning. In addition, our preferred customers are going receive a new e-letter containing exclusive coupons offering a discount on services and exciting contests where you can win FREE cleanings!

Finally, I am super-excited about a trip I’ve been planning for a while now. Can’t say the same about the flight (I am no great fan of flying), but spending time with my beloved family and having loads of fun should make up for it. Hopefully, I will come away with plenty of newsworthy experiences to share with you. Till next month – Happy March Madness 🙂

Coupon of the Month

We are very pleased to announce “The Coupon of the Month”. This month features a FREE ScotchGuard application worth $15.00 with any room cleaning.

You should have received it with the notification email to this newsletter. For those of you who are not familiar with ScotchGuard, it is a revolutionary stain repellant. The unique formula repels liquids and prevented stains from damaging furniture, carpets and clothing. Check out this cool demo I found in YouTube:

If you are on our mailing list and you didn’t receive your monthly coupon, please contact us and will be happy to send it again. If you are a new customer and wish to be added to our monthly mailing list, you can fill out the form to the right or call us at (888) 449-3227.

Inexpensive Tips for Cleaner Indoor Air

Out of sight out of mind – kind of like the air in your home! It’s hard to remember that your family’s health depends on the air quality in the home. I have found some very simple, low cost tips for cleaner air in your home.

    • Change the filter on your furnace regularly.
    • Replace your vacuum bags regularly.
    • Air-out dry cleaned items before bringing them indoors.
    • Dust and clean regularly, especially if you have pets.
    • Reduce chemical use and purchase cleaners that are friendly to the environment.

Many recent publications show having plants in your home can actually give you cleaner air. In a study done by NASA, the following plants were found to be the best reducers of Formaldehyde, Benzene, and Carbon Monoxide. (www.zone10.com/nasa-study-house-plants-clean-air.html)

    • Bamboo Palm
    • Chinese evergreen
    • English Ivy Hedera Helix
    • Gerbera Daisy Gerbera Jamesonii
    • Janet Craig
    • Marginata
    • Mass Cane/Corn Plant
    • Mother-in-Law’s Tongu
    • Pot Mum
    • Peace Lilly
    • Warneckii

Worried you can’t find these plants? I have researched and found 9 locations you can visit to buy these plants:

Gearing up for March Madness?

Well apparently, we’re not the only ones. Check out this video I found.
